Ariete Round Nose ammunition packages feature a partially red design depicting a wild boar.
The R.N. “round nose” designation refers to the round polymer tip used. This characteristic makes them suitable for semi-automatic rifles; in fact, they are specifically designed for stalking, with faster expansion even at short ranges and high velocities. The so-called cut acts by more clearly puncturing the point of impact and causing more significant external bleeding, for a faster, if not instantaneous, terminal effect.
